Bore 13.34mm, bell size 216mm finished in Rose Brass. A request was made to score this old Irish tune for a rather unique ensemble. I love the rich noise that comes out of the instrument, though it is hard to blow through. Adding (only) a mouthpiece makes relatively minor changes: it can reduce the amount of the lips that move, and it allows the pressure outside the lips to be a little different from atmospheric. Fingered trills are possible on all notes, lip trills on notes above the staff.

SOLD Made in the 1970s by Bohm&Meinl for Giardinelli, this is a decent playing alto sackbut ref.: http://femtalent.cat/library/le-siege-de-corinthe-overture-trombone-1-2-and-3-parts-qty-2-each-a-1944. It's just awesome coming from a guy who plays the Euphonium. I play tuba, it is superior to all other brass instruments because it provides the foundation for nearly all chords written in music and it also gives the bass line to various pieces plus its huge! A Tuba is one of those instruments where you don't notice the sound to much when its in a piece of music, but whenever it's not there something definitely sounds missing and weird http://development.existnomore.com/ebooks/les-djinns-trombone-1-part-qty-2-a-1449. Bore is .468" with a 12.25" large throat yellow brass cut bell. Waterkeys are installed on the needed parts. This horn is in demo condition, like new, and includes the original case. $3500 SOLD Professional full double french horn from Hans Hoyer, the model 6802NSA-L is based on the vintage Conn 8D horns from Elkhart, Indiana http://agiosioanniskalyvitis.gr/books/instrumental-solos-by-special-arrangement-11-songs-arranged-in-jazz-styles-with-written-out. As such, horns do not produce as brilliant a tone as say for example the trumpet or the trombone which may be said to have a cylindrical bore. It could be said that the horns form a kind of bridge between the woodwind and the heavier brass sections and much of their duty in the orchestra is to fill in with and blend in with the woodwind instruments , cited: http://femtalent.cat/library/quintet-2007-based-on-the-hymn-o-eternal-father-o. The bell flare is unstamped and came from the legendary batch of Conn bells out of Larry Minick's shop in LA. These bells all had special voodoo blessings and magical spells cast over them to play superior to other Conn bells ok maybe I made up the voodoo part, but these bells are a bit of a legend in the LA community download. It is in nearly new condition complete with the original shop card. I was shocked at how well this horn plays (the only Reynolds bass bones I've been familiar with are the nasty ones that every high school seems to own) http://femtalent.cat/library/the-canadian-brass-series-of-collected-quintets-hymns-for-brass-trombone. The bell is beautiful, a one piece brazed yellow brass flare. You'd have to spend twice the money to get a similar instrument of this quality in today's market. Included is like new Marcus Bonna MB2 fixed bell case. $3300 REDUCED The model H283 is the same as the Holton model H183, which is the yellow brass Merker model designed by hornist, Ethel Merker http://femtalent.cat/library/jerusalem-composers-orchestration-trombone-3-part-qty-7-a-8450.

The following two articles provides guidance for those looking to buy a trumpet or cornet. The information is also applicable to most other brass instruments. If you are a beginner or intermediate player, ask an experienced player or your teacher to help with the assessment , cited: http://www.siaarchitects.com/?library/die-sarazenen-die-schoene-alda-op-30-trombone-1-2-and-3-parts-qty-2-each-a-6448. The bell has been stripped and buffed and remains unlacquered. It plays great, as you'd expect it is very even with a big orchestral sound. Sold without case $2500 Here is the old classic jazz trombone, the Conn 6H. As played by Frank Rosolino, this model is from the 1950s and has the desirable deco engraving (not the marching men) http://ordermyroomservice.mylondondoctor.com/lib/bach-prelude-in-e-flat-major-saint-anne-for-8-part-trombone-choir-transcribed-by-ralph-sauer. With case. $1400 A rare trumpet from the famous Benge Burbank shop. This is an original C trumpet in fabulous condition with what appears to be the original lacquer. The bell is very thin and responsive yellow brass, great for light classical repertoire and nuanced playing styles. The 72H is a bell tuning version of the famous 70H. They can be some of the most fun single valve bass trombones around. Slide is longer to give you a true low C. The slide tubes have some minor conn wear, typical of this period (shown in the photo, this is the bottom of the tube) , source: http://femtalent.cat/library/scenes-de-ballet-op-52-no-8-polonaise-trombone-1-2-and-3-parts-qty-2-each-a-1474. While cornetts are traditionally made from wood, some modern makers also produce instruments cast from resin. These instruments are much less expensive than hand-made wooden ones, usually heavier in weight, much more stable in tone and intonation, and waterproof; their tone, however, is much more brassy and ringing than their more subtle and lyrical wooden counterparts http://femtalent.cat/library/spring-song-op-16-trombone-1-2-and-3-parts-qty-2-each-a-5280. The bell engraving is slightly less visible because of the restoration but overall the trumpet is a looker! With the trombones imported or purchased by Moravian churches subsequent to that epoch, this paper is not at all concerned; neither with the feats of one Christian Ettwein, (circa 1800,) who blew the bass trombone, and one Easter morning drank seventeen mugs of mulledwine; nor with the following fact of musical interest, to wit: That sometime after the winding up or breaking down, or closing out of Hope in the Jerseys, in 1808, when its church was dismantled and its set of sackbuts was forwarded to Bethlehem, it was resolved by the musicians of that place, to perform with three sets of trombones on the coming festival of Easter-this novel performance being accomplished and the parts distributed to the following brethren the sopranos to William Eggert, Peter Schneller and Jedidiah Weiss; the altos to William Boehler, Charles F online. Keep this endurance factor in mind when planning a recording session involving brass players, especially if the players are not professionals. If studio time is a factor, consider identifying and recording the more demanding sections of your tunes first. You may need to consult a brass musician to help you find these, but generally they will be the sections that are loudest and those that contain the highest notes http://nickel-titanium.com/lib/mariotta-overture-trombone-1-2-and-3-parts-qty-2-each-a-8458.
